We started the makerie because we love making! Everything from leather bags and wreaths to woodworking and sewing projects!
What we do.
We rescue materials and use them to create something new.
Our makerie collections use salvaged materials - seconds, surplus and scraps - and we invent new products and patterns based on what we find.
It’s a sustainable cycle that supports conscious creation and consumption.
How it works.
Products are released in waves, and each wave features a new Collection and product inspired by the materials we rescue. Runs are limited and pieces are one-of-a-kind since we make everything by hand.
Our small-batch process means we embrace the slowness (craftsmanship takes time!) and resist the temptation to create more stuff - instead, utilizing what already exists.
Our hope is that High Tide becomes a happy, sustainable place to shop!
